Classic American 1920s replica. Amalfi was built in Whangamata NZ by Harry Nordburg owner of Calibro Marine based on original plans from American classic boat designer Ken Hankinson, from classics such as the Italian Riva Aquarama and Chris Craft all from an earlier nautical period. Handcrafted meticulously by Harry for his very own runabout, this Hankinson is a one off build, no other like her in NZ. Amalfi is already a classic collectable in her own right having recently won Best Inboard Runabout at the 2023 Classic Boat Regatta in St Arnaud and Best New Build in 2018. Just 220 hours on the clock, the 265 HP V6 Volvo Penta engine pushes her along at a comfortable economical 60 kph. The Biscayne with her highly polished dark mahogany hull, sensuous curves and barrel back transom harks back to a bygone era of the roaring 20’s.
