Features
Tantalus is a sound, largely original Townson 34 and a well-rounded yacht from well-known designer Des Townson.
She has a bright open feel in the comfortable saloon. Power is supplied by her original 20HP Bukh which runs well.
The sail wardrobe includes a Rick Roydon main, a Genoa on a furler, a range of hanked-on jibs plus another spare main. She has stainless mast-head rigging and the mast was lifted and rewired in 2017.
Her dingy is a recent Highfield 2.6 RIB with 2HP Yamaha outboard.
The swing-mooring on the Kawakawa river at Opua is also for sale and can be purchased for an additional fee, with Tantalus as a package.
